The Face & Story Behind Cordelle Designs…

My name is Annaliese and I am the sole designer and creator at Cordelle Designs. I am a busy mother of two littlies and wife to a very understanding and helpful hubby. Cordelle Designs evolved from a hobby of making my own jewellery to making jewellery for friends and family, and was finally reborn as a small business shortly after my first child was born as it became a creative and intellectual outlet for me whilst on maternity leave.

For as long as I can remember I have loved everything vintage. I grew up watching old movies and musicals. I could quote ‘The Mikado’ and ‘Brigadoon’ by the time I was 3 years old. My favourite movie actors/actresses were not those famous in the ‘80s but Gene Kelly, Cyd Charisse and Audrey Hepburn. I read Shakespeare and Jane Austen. I listened to jazz, 1940s wartime songs and ‘60s pop. My passion for bygone eras continued as I got older and manifested itself in birthday party themes – medieval, 1920s, 1940s and 1960s themes provided plenty of opportunities for me to make costumes based on hours of fashion research and design sketches. Now my love of all things vintage is manifested in my jewellery design, using quality new and vintage lace, crochet, glass beads and freshwater pearls to create one-of-a-kind and limited edition accessories.

Cordelle Designs aims to bring you unique and quality pieces that bring a touch of old-world charm, glamour and romance to a classic sense of style. I want each woman who wears Cordelle Designs to feel feminine, special, confident and pretty. I feel so privileged to be able to share my passion with you in this way and I hope that you will find that perfect expression of your style through my work.

As well as the range of one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces on offer here I am also available for custom orders for weddings, special occasions or to meet specific requirements. Please contact me for more information. I’d love to hear from you!
